If you are transferring a video file from your THETA that is over 4GB with a USB cable to your Mac, this File transfer app for Mac may help.

This problem is limited to the Mac OS. If you are using Windows 10, you should be able to transfer a file greater than 4GB from the THETA without this software.

On a Mac, you can also transfer the file with WiFi without this application.

I have been Having issue with transferring a 4GB + size file on Mac. I opened via Image Capture, transferred successfully - however any place I try to convert the spherical video file it gets rejected. QT won’t “convert” it, despite it being an MP4. I have tried the Ricoh conversion app and File Transfer app and it onset recognize the file. Nothing seems to recognize this file. I had another video I recorded just after this longer clip that was under 2GB and it transferred and converted with absolutely no issue.
Any thoughts what I can do to rectify this? This longer, 4GB clip is the bulk of my project.

Any help is appreciated.

Is your Mac 10.10, 10.11, or 10.12?

I have not tried this, but have you tried to transfer the file using a mobile phone at 5Ghz?

If that doesn’t work, can you borrow a Windows 10 computer?

If that doesn’t work, it seems like adb may work in the future when the developer program is opened. The THETA V is an Android device.
