Full Ricoh Theta S Metadata for a totally black image with another image using same settings to compare

I took an image with the protective sleeve on the Theta S and pulled the metadata to compare it with a more normal image to try to figure out what some of the tags were. Is this any help to anyone? @Svendus can you make heads or tails of all this?

I’ve only used some of the metadata. The ones I use focus on the camera orientation that then affects how the image looks when it is displayed. I think the data is mostly useful for an application, not an end-user. If you have camera inside of a car and you want the default view to show a different part of a car, you can adjust the metadata instead of editing the entire image.

The most common metadata to adjust or read is this:

The GPS information might be interesting to an end-user, but that requires a GPS module or a mobile phone.

Jason Charcalla has a GPS module attached to a Raspberry Pi.
