2 x Ricoh Theta S - 3D Mode

I just placed an order for 3 pairs of red-blue glasses for $1.42 and free shipping. Though, shipping might take a while.

It’s a first step in the experimentation.

Picked up a pack of 3 glasses for $1.48 plus free shipping on Amazon

The effect with my cheap 3D glasses is quite good, surprisingly crisp and realistic. The +100 pixel offset yielded a good effect.

Do you prefer the grayscale look or the color look?

I think the Greyscale are a mistake from my site :flushed: it seems to be a preveiw funktion in the software that create the red-blue efeckt !

Red are normally to the Right
But the embeded Video with the boy on the Tricke, the Blue are to the right

My wife and I tested your site with my cheap red-blue glasses. The greyscale looks slightly crisper.

Any new updates in the 3D area?
Shot some still successfully with 2 theta Z1 but focusing on Theta V with the TA1 microphone repositioned for more accurate ambisonic sound using a custom made extension cable (Good thing we’re close to Akihabara in order to find a 6 pole audio plug/jack!!)
Just curious what any others may be doing.

This is the latest state of the art.

Most of the people are experimenting with live streaming for telepresence. There hasn’t been too much activity in stereoscopic still images, except to efforts with trying to use two cameras for measurement.

Most solutions to capture a space in 3D use a single camera and attempt to build a point cloud.

Well… I’m thinking of Pre firmware update perhaps where there was little to no stabilization.
My theory is that the stabilization won’t be exact same for 2 cams and could prove uncomfortable for the viewer’s eyes.

Wow! That’s pretty fascinating! Not quite what I’m trying to do but gives me more ideas!

You may be able to experiment with turning off Zenith Correction and changing the stitching. I don’t know too much about 3D stereoscopic photography. The information below might be irrelevant.
